About Crimestoppers
Crimestoppers is an independent charity helping to find criminals and solve crimes.
We run the 0800 555 111 hotline number through which people in the UK can pass on information about crime anonymously. We are not part of the police or the government.
Many criminals exploit people's fear to avoid arrest. Contacting Crimestoppers provides you with a safe way to pass on information about crime as no one will know you contacted us, unless you tell them.
Crimestoppers works
- Everyday 21 people are arrested in the UK as a result of information passed to Crimestoppers.
- 100,000 people have been arrested thanks to information passed to Crimestoppers in our 22 year history.
- Every nine days one person is charged with murder thanks to information passed to us.
- Drugs with a street value of over £185million have been seized as a result of information passed to us.
